1. Current cookie status

The EV Charger Installers Directory plugin currently does not load non-essential analytics cookies, advertising cookies, remarketing tags, or behavioural advertising trackers for ordinary visitors.

The site uses or may use strictly necessary storage for core website operation, security, forms, caching, administrator sessions, and remembering that a visitor has seen the cookie notice.

2. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small data files stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, scripts, tags, pixels, and other mechanisms that store information on or access information from a device.

3. Strictly necessary storage used by this plugin

The directory plugin uses a first-party cookie named evcid_cookie_notice and a local-storage key named evcid_cookie_notice_v2 to remember that the cookie notice has been dismissed. Their purpose is to avoid repeatedly showing the same notice. The cookie is set for up to 180 days.

These items do not track browsing across unrelated websites and are not used for advertising or profiling.

4. WordPress, security, hosting, and caching

WordPress, the hosting environment, security tools, or caching infrastructure may use strictly necessary session or security cookies where required for login, administrator access, form protection, load balancing, security, or site operation. Cookie names and durations may vary depending on the active infrastructure and whether a visitor is logged in.

Ordinary visitors are not asked to consent to technologies that are strictly necessary to provide a service they request, although information about those technologies is provided here for transparency.

5. Analytics

The directory plugin does not currently load Google Analytics or another non-essential analytics service for ordinary visitors.

If analytics requiring consent is introduced later, it must remain disabled until the visitor has made an informed choice. The cookie notice and this policy must also be updated to identify the provider, purpose, cookie or storage names, and relevant durations.

6. Advertising and remarketing

The directory plugin does not currently load advertising, personalised-advertising, remarketing, or ad-measurement cookies for ordinary visitors.

If advertising technologies are introduced later, they must not be activated on the basis of an old or generic consent. Where consent is legally required, visitors must be given clear information and a fresh ability to accept or refuse the relevant purposes before those technologies are used.

7. Why the current notice does not offer “Accept all”

Because no non-essential analytics or advertising technologies are currently loaded by the directory plugin, there is currently nothing meaningful for a visitor to accept in those categories. The site therefore uses an informational essential-cookie notice instead of asking for advance consent to unknown future tools.

8. Third-party links

Directory listings link to third-party installer websites. Merely displaying an ordinary link does not make the linked website’s cookies our cookies. If you follow a third-party link, that site may use its own cookies and will be governed by its own privacy and cookie information.

9. Browser controls

You can delete or block cookies and clear local storage through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary storage may affect website functionality, administrator sessions, security controls, or the ability to remember that the cookie notice has already been shown.

10. Future changes

We review this policy when the site adds or removes analytics, advertising, embedded services, consent-management tools, accounts, payments, or other technologies that store information on or access information from a user’s device.
