Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how EV Charger Installers Hub collects, uses, publishes, stores, and protects personal data in connection with the directory, company submissions, listing claims, correspondence, and website operation.
Last updated: October 5, 20261. Who is responsible for your data
EV Charger Installers Hub is operated by Szántó Rajmond Barabás, 8800 Nagykanizsa, Sikátor utca 13., Hungary. For the personal data processed through this website and the directory, Szántó Rajmond Barabás is the data controller. Privacy requests can be sent to szantorajmond@gmail.com.
When you leave this website and contact a listed installer directly, that installer becomes independently responsible for the information you provide to it.
2. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to visitors, people who contact the site, representatives of companies that submit, claim, correct, or remove listings, and individuals whose business contact information appears in the directory.
It does not govern the privacy practices of third-party installer websites or other external services linked from the directory.
3. Personal data we may process
Directory and submission data may include company name, website URL, country, city, service area, service types, brands, description, business email address, business telephone number, and information supplied in a listing submission, correction, claim, or removal request.
If you contact us, we may process your name, email address, role, message content, and any other information you choose to provide.
Technical data may include IP address, browser and device information, request logs, security events, timestamps, and strictly necessary cookie or local-storage preferences used to operate and protect the website.
4. Where the data comes from
We may obtain information directly from company representatives, from correspondence with us, and from publicly accessible sources such as official company websites, public contact pages, public business information, and other sources used to verify whether an installer offers EV charging services.
Where business contact information identifies an individual, such as a named business email address or direct business telephone number, it may constitute personal data even though it is publicly available.
5. Why we process data and our legal bases
We process directory and business contact data to operate, maintain, improve, verify, correct, and protect the EV charger installer directory. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, this processing is generally based on our legitimate interests in running an accurate, useful, and secure business directory, balanced against the rights and interests of the individuals concerned.
We process information submitted in enquiries, claims, correction requests, and removal requests to respond to the request, administer the directory, protect against abuse, and keep an appropriate record of decisions. Depending on the context, the legal basis may be legitimate interests, steps taken at your request, or compliance with a legal obligation.
We process security logs and technical information where necessary for website security, fraud and abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and legal compliance.
If we introduce non-essential analytics, advertising, remarketing, or similar tracking in the future, we will update our notices and obtain consent before using those technologies where consent is legally required.
6. Public directory listings
Approved listings may display company name, website, country, city, service area, service types, brands, description, telephone number, and email address where that information is suitable for public business contact.
Publication in the directory does not mean that EV Charger Installers Hub endorses, certifies, licenses, or guarantees the listed company.
A company representative or an affected individual may request correction, restriction, or removal of inaccurate or inappropriate personal contact information by contacting us and providing enough information to identify the listing.
7. Sharing and recipients
Public listing information is shared with website visitors by being displayed in the directory. We may also use hosting, security, caching, email, backup, and technical service providers that process information only as needed to provide their services to us.
We do not sell personal information as a standalone product, and the directory plugin does not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights or security, investigate abuse, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
8. International data transfers
Some service providers may process data in countries outside the country where you are located. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR requires safeguards for an international transfer, we use an applicable legal mechanism such as an adequacy decision, approved standard contractual clauses, or another lawful transfer safeguard.
Public directory information is intentionally accessible internationally because the website is a global directory.
9. How long we keep data
Public listing information is normally retained while the listing remains relevant to the directory and may be removed, corrected, or archived when it becomes inaccurate, obsolete, duplicated, disputed, or no longer useful.
Submission, claim, correction, removal, and correspondence records are kept for as long as reasonably necessary to process the request, prevent repeated abuse or duplication, maintain an administrative record, and handle possible legal claims or regulatory obligations.
Security and technical logs are retained according to operational, security, and provider settings and are not kept longer than reasonably necessary for those purposes. The site cookie-notice preference created by the directory plugin is stored for up to 180 days.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to request access to personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, or to object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Where the GDPR applies, requests are generally answered without undue delay and normally within one month, subject to lawful extensions and exceptions.
11. Objection to directory processing
If personal business contact data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will consider the circumstances, the public and business nature of the information, the purpose of the directory, and any compelling legitimate grounds before deciding whether processing should continue.
Requests to correct or remove personal contact information from a listing can be sent to szantorajmond@gmail.com.
12. Complaints
If you believe your personal data has been processed unlawfully, please contact us first so we can review the issue. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság, NAIH), 1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9-11., Hungary; postal address: 1363 Budapest, Pf. 9.; website: https://www.naih.hu/. If another supervisory authority is competent under applicable law, you may also contact that authority.
13. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect website and directory data against unauthorised access, alteration, loss, misuse, or disclosure. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
14. Children
The website is a business directory and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal data from children through directory submissions.
15. Automated decision-making
We do not use personal data to make solely automated decisions that produce legal effects or similarly significant effects on individuals. Listing review, correction, and removal decisions may involve administrator review.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the website, directory features, service providers, tracking technologies, or legal requirements change. The date at the top of this page shows the most recent revision.
17. Contact
Privacy, access, correction, objection, and removal requests can be sent to the controller, Szántó Rajmond Barabás, at szantorajmond@gmail.com or by post to 8800 Nagykanizsa, Sikátor utca 13., Hungary.
